Thank you for sharing your faith. Beautiful. Isn’t it humbling when God reminds us “control freaks” that we don’t need to carry that load? (And that it’s better when we don’t?) As for baptism and being saved, only God can save through grace.

I’ve been following your dilemma and I’m so relieved that you’ve found a place to move too that will make the transition a little easier. I have to tell you that I think you and Dewayne are so honorable in how your handling this. I have a neighbor across the street from me that has been playing games with Bank of America for over a year. First they tried to claim that the paperwork with the escrow company had been signed incorrectly and this gave them the right not to pay anything! Now they are scamming the bank by having a renter move in and they are keeping the rent – helping them to pay for another place. I wish I had the nerve to tell the bank what’s going on but until I’m asked (again) by the bank who’s living there, I’ll probably keep quite.
I’m so sorry for the stress that you are dealing with but just think – at Christmas you’ll be with your family enjoying a new home, lower payments, and less crap than you had before : )

Just hand them the keys and head for a nice new rental. They can only knock your credit down once. If you find a good rental (presumably one that will cost less than your mortgage) I’d do it sooner rather than later.

Also suggested bankruptcy is an option. I hope that you can keep your home and something comes through for you. I will certainly pray.
